My wife is in her 2 years conditional status. I have filed for divorce. I need to let USCIS know that I am divorcing her so that I am no longer responsible for her status. I am in New York. Where and who do I send a letter to so that I let them know that she will be out of status here and should return to her country or stay here illegally? I have looked everywhere on the internet and no one seems to know how to do this. What to write in the letter to USCIS or where to send the letter.

It is not worth it to bring anyone from Russia just so that they can get a green card especially bringing their son too. The only thing that makes it worth it is if you truly love them and want to create a life with them. Unfortunately the laws really suck and you cannot spen enough time with them to know if things are really as they seem to be. Even getting involved with a woman from American is a gamble. You could see a woman from years and then marry her and find out that she is bad for you and divorce. I just took a chance at love after seeing my wife 7 times and spending over 100 days with her in europe and when she came here things changed.

You'd be better going into to your nearest USCIS office and handing them the letter, unless you're in NYC. Going down to Federal Plaza is not fun for anyone. If she's still in conditional status, then her conditional greencard would be subject to revocation, or at the very least she would not be able to adjust to legal permanent resident status. However, while you have filed, you are both still legally married, so I doubt they would take any immediate action, in case you change your mind. uscis.gov has the office addresses for every USCIS office in the US.

I am sorry to hear about the divorce and that marriage didn't work out. i myself came here through K1 visa but i'm glad my husband and i are getting along very well and are still very much inlove.
But anyway, you may call USCIS at this number: 1-800-375-5283
State your case and just tell them the truth (no made up stories like she paid your of something if it isn't true) so they'd be able to know what type of assistance you would need =)

You do not need to inform USCIS about your divorce. Your wife is a Permanent Resident, and her immigration is now her business.
She will not be out of status simply because you divorce her.
Divorce also does not remove the Affidavit of Support I-864 that you signed.
You take care of yourself, and let her take care of herself.

Let me guess, you married her to get her a green card. After 2 years, you don't think she should be an American?
Notify ICE to let them know her status immediately. Every day she's your wife, gets her closer to being a Citizen. Once that happens, you're screwed.

Call the INS and tell that you have paid to get married in order to get a citizenship for an illegal and now you want to go on with your normal life. How much she paid to you?
