My husband was just accepted into the STA-21 core program. He is currently deployed on a sub so I have NO WAY of contacting him! I have no idea of what to expect or what I need to do to prepare for the upcoming months. Please, if someone is out there, preferably an STA-21 officer or spouse, help me out!!

First of all, CONGRATS! My hubby is hoping to apply this coming year when he gets home from deployment. It's a very hard program to get into. He'll get to go to college full time for 36 months for whatever degree program he has chosen. he will also have to do some extra training, I believe it's in Rhode Island. There is a link to learn more about STA 21 on this page.... I hope this helps and Congrats again!

the two classes you point out are incredibly aggressive and easily opt for an extremely few shown performers. As a sparkling HM you're competing against FMF Corpsman try against vets with purple hearts and bronze stars. and a few hours of comm. college? There are enlisted Sailors with years at important universities. all of them choose the comparable classes. the path you define isn't impossible, yet will take years and large attempt and concentration to attain...and you will possibly never get there competing for the few open slots. you will get there lots swifter via staying at college and getting your civilian RN credentials first. final analysis. Enlisting in the army is the factor you do *as a exchange* of going to college.

he will be a full time college student( year round, including summer and winter breaks) and be part of ROTC.

Congrats, it's a very competitive program he's gotten accepted to.
