I like driving over long distances. When driving alone, I take my collection of CDs and listen to them from first song to last song. It's like measuring time as CDs (instead of hours).
When with somebody else, and the other person is driving, I like to look at the scenery, even if it's just a freeway. Reading material helps.
Jesus would drive a cool Harley.

I should think it would depend on the ages of those concerned, and their educational background.
Obviously the driver would be old enough to hold a license, but the passenger might be school age.
Interests of both would have to be considered. Especially common interests.
Once strong consideration must be observed, driver's attention to road conditions, and fatigue will have to be accounted for.

My wife and I drove from Houston to the Grand Canyon and back while listening to books on tape. You go to Cracker Barrell, rent the tape and when you finish the book, look for another Cracker Barrell (they are everywhere) and trade the book in for another.
You will be amazed how the time flies when you do this.
The other alternative is to buy audiobooks at Audible.com

Take turns driving (which means, of course, to take turns sleeping).
Schedule interesting stops along the way.
Other than that, it's going to be pretty boring after the first 2 or 3 hundred miles.
Been there...done that.

You could come up with a scenic route, take pictures, find silly tourist traps.
I love going the long way!

What would Jesus DO!
Does that PRESUPPOSE.... The Presence .... OR... The Absence of JESUS?
(John 3:18-to-21) He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
(Joh 3:19) And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.
(Joh 3:20) For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
(Joh 3:21) But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.
Thanks for Asking! RR
