Yesterday was his first day off restriction which means he can leave and come back as pleased but he got to be back at midnight on the weekend and 11 on week day. he got back at 1202 and got kicked out. im very hurt and disappointed. He called me from a pay phone to tell me the news he was crying and really hurt. The security guy told him to come back monday and see what the director says. Im very upset and i feel let down. If he knows the rules he should have been back in time to get in no excuses. he said two people on the bus had wheelchairs so they had to let them off which takes longer than the rest of the stops. I picked him up and took him to walgreens and i got a drug test he passed the test. hes still drug free. My question is if they dont let him back in what am i suppose to do. I cant let him stay with me because before he went in he stole so much of my stuff. im so hurt and i dont know what to do. I love my brother but i feel let down. How do i suppose to help him?

it is WONDERFUL that you care so much about your brother. He has a MUCH better chance to succeed with you on his side. Knowing the curfew time, he should not have taken a chance to be back SO CLOSE to the curfew time--at least 45 mins to an hour EARLY would have impressed them. Go with him and speak to the director on Monday. Your being there and supporting him will also impress the director to hopefully give him another chance. Good luck to both of you.

Given that it was his first offense of the curfew, that he was only 2 minutes late, and that his excuse is reasonable, and he sincerely wants back in, he'll probably get a stern lecture about leaving more time to get back and be let in again.

So try not to stress it unless you really have to. You'll know Monday.

He did not meet the rules. He was late. Can not follow rules and you are out, and that my dear is life. Perhaps they may give him a second chnace, perhaps. Maybe they will not. But he has to learn that some people really mean what they say.

Go with him to talk with the director tomorrow. See if you can work something out. If this is not possible, speak with his therapist. Maybe he/she can assist in some alternatives.
Good luck and best wishes.

Where are the adults in your lives?
Get him to do another test Monday morning in the guard's presence to prove he is still clean. Pray for the best!
