NO!!!! That would be a horrible thing to try and do to your body.
If a BMI calculator says you are obese, then it would be safe for you to lose up to 3 pounds a week (on average). You could probably lose 20 pounds in 7 weeks, with a lot of effort.
After you enter into the "overweight" range, you should be striving for 2 pounds a week (average), because this is a weight loss pattern a body can maintain and stay healthy at.
I would recommend you find a good gym with a meal plan, or an online site, if that is better for you. I used sparkpeople.com - you may check it out as a jumping off point. It's free to use - lots of recipes, and if you want it can workout an entire meal plan for you, or you can customize your own. It's a really good place to get the basic info you need for losing weight... I lost about 30 pounds while I was using it.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

Why not see a doctor and get on a safe diet plan?
60 pounds sounds like a goal that may take around a year to accomplish. Generally you will lose more weight at first with diet & exercise, but it's good to pace yourself so that your heart is healthy too.
Good luck!

Doesn't really sound safe.
It took me a year and a half to lose that much weight and I was religiously working out 5 days a week and eating a 1200 calorie a day diet.

It would be good going to loose 2lb a week over any extended time. Over 7 weeks you would be doing very well to loose 14lbs.
You didn't put on that weight in a matter of weeks and you can't safely loose it quickly.
Exercise combined with the diet of your choice will slowly get you thinner. There's no other way.
