I vote no. There are too many things that can go awry. Say you end up spending too much time together and you start fighting...then that will affect your relationship negatively. Say that one of you is not really the most efficent worker, the other might harbor criticisms. Say that one of you gets fired, will the other quit too? It is a dual-relationship when you throw things like work into the mix. Plus, there will be bound to be unhealthy workplace talk...and also, wouldn't you want to have something interesting to share at the end of the workday? I would get seriously bored and cramped if I was working at the same place as my b/f. Just tread very lightly and if at all possible, look for work elsewhere.

So, what's the job?
Is it a job that pays really well, will kickstart your career, is the trampoline that helps you leap up to the next level in your career?
Is it a job that holds your interest, teaches you as you go, develops your knowledge of business as well as production, helps you make lifelong friends and business contacts whom you will network throughout your life, and when you retire you will have successfully saved up a wonderful retirement account, paid for your home and your kids' college educations, and puts you where you want to be in your life?
Or is it just a job?
That's the decision you should realy be making, and leave the relationship thing out of it, UNLESS you really work well together as a team.
Otherwise, I would really look at the situation from all angles before making a decision.

Bad idea.... When you break up you'll have to see each other and that will not make it for a nice situation. Co-workers will be all up in your business. You should be able to find a job on your own, have some of your own indepedence, it will get old working with her and then going home and chilling with her. I know from experience.

Not a good idea and you heard right! If something happens between you two everyone will know your business and moods tend to be contagious in this sort of an environment. Just tell her you're thinking about it...and find something else...maybe close to her work so you guys can hook up for lunch or on breaks. Godloveya.

There is such a thing as spending too much time together. You need to also have your own lives apart from eachother. Go for it if you don't ever want your own space. What if you break up? Will you still want to work there? Generally basing your career on your bf/gf is not a good move.

Let me tell you from my experience, if someone should get mad at the other, the attitudes will fly at work and you won't be able to focus and have a productive work day. From bad to worse, things could really get ugly if the situations a heated discussion or breakup. So, whatever you choose, i'm sure it'll be the best decision.

a couple of things you need to consider. men and women flirt. whether single or not. if you think you are not the jealous type i think working together wouldn't be a problem. cos u will constantly be seeing each other...and you wouldn't be able to help it if other people flirt either with you or your gf. happened to me when my bf and i worked together. he gets jealous i get jealous. we break up and it was totally ****** up at work. if working in different places is going well for you, don't change it. you give each other space and there's great test for trust. i hope whatever u do works out for the best. =)

OMGGG dont even think about working where she does !! its terrible !!! you guys are only going to start hating eachother and not having enough space to have a normal life explain her that you LOVE her and dont want anything bad to happen because this might just get a little"awkward"

Well you shouldnt get a job where she works beause you want to give her space,if you dont probloms might occur and then your going to be stuck by her most of the day because you two will work together.
