Well sounds as if you are both mature adults. So you could always ask him out for a coffee and have a talk with him about your lives and what your goals, dreams and availability are. At that time you might bring up the fact that you both seem to be flirting with each other and wonder if it is all just innocent flirting or if maybe there is something more involved. Just keep being friendly and smile when you see him, laugh at his jokes. Men are very good at picking up on signals that a woman is interested - since they are generally the chasers and don't want to risk rejection they get pretty keen at spotting a girl who is interested.

Write your number on a piece of paper and hand it to him as you smile and walk away. If he is interested, he will call you. If he doesn't call at least you didn't go to great lengths to let him know and you won't feel like a boob.
