In Illinois you're allowed o drive at 16. What happens when you're like 14 or 15 and you get caught driving without a license and how do you know this?

You can still get a ticket and your car can be towed and impounded and in some states they can keep you from getting your license until you're 18.

Typically, you will lose the right to get a license until you are 18 or even 21. This is how most States handle it. The car owner will probably not be happy since the car will be towed and impounded.

They may actually make you wait even longer before your allowed to get a licenses. So that when you do turn 16 you may not be allowed to obtain a licenses, to punish you for having driven when you were under age. I don't know exactly how much longer they would make you wait, but they would make you wait to be able to get one.

I hope this helps you out.

I think your parents can also be ticketed. Insurance will probably go up too. If you have had drivers ed, you usually can get a temp. license to drive with a licensed driver only...........x
