what do i use to get bass to bite at any time of the day and quickly if i fish in a pond that is clear?

John, try dropping a freshly caught bluegill... That'll do it ANY time of day... Natural vs Artificial... Natural ALWAYS wins...!!! Or you could use what ever the bait fish that's available... As for artificials, maybe, just maybe, the Banjo Minnow...?

i would say crank bait,i use a white spinner bait for that, with clear water you need to make long cast.it's a known fact if you see a bass,he's already seen you.spinner bait is weedless and want hang on the moss and weeds.i fish a clear lake all the time with good luck.if you find some spots with no weeds try a rat-l-trap.but it will hang up easy.as far as bass biting all the time,no one can tell you how to do that.the secret is go often and be there when they feed.good luck.

I agree with the top water line of thought. A frog, buzzbait or even a pop-r will work.

Anything else will hang in the weeds. An exception may be to flip through the holes or something similar.

Hi John.
What I use is a Handmade Topwater popper that is a chartreuse color with a red mouth and dark green markings. I t has a two color green Marabou skirt that helps attract and other hand painted red markings that also attract the bass.

There is a web site where you can get these and other good quality baits that are inexpensive at www.popspoppers.com They have Pan fish and trout baits also. Hope this helps.

Lots of weeds? Try a frog or a mouse bait. This have typically worked well for me in weeds or lily pad waters. Allow the baits to 'walk' on the weeds same as a live frog or mouse would.

I find that a good medium sized spinner bait with double spinners work in most situations, juts use lighter colors in dark water and darker colors in lighter water. I also have good luck with plastic worms fished with a slow "twitch" and very very slow and intermediate retrieve.

i use live bait when the water is clear.....u cant beat natural bait......such as the small bait fish found in the pond...or crayfish.......i have never went wrong with live bait.......they bite it fast and it is reliable

I would try a buzzbait, try casting as close to shore as you can, from a boat, and get ready for strikes on your retrieve!!
