Warm water when you first get up in the morning, exercise and a healthy diet. If you wanna get things moving right away there is a cereal called Uncle Sam's and it quite tasty. Call around and see which grocery store carries it. Prune juice is good as long as there is nothing else in there or prunes. Us old folks know these things...lol Good luck working things out. Mmm

try walking or any type of exercise, it makes the intestines move more.
Drink more water, it will loosen up the bowels.
Eat more fruits and vegetables. I'm not sure why that works.
If you need to get some exlax at the store. The chocolate kind tastes just like candy.
You could also get some Docusate. It is over the counter and they are meant to help as well.

another thing you could try too is if there is a particular food that will make you go. For example creamed corn sends me to the bathroom everytime.

Or go to McDonalds for lunch. The grease will help you go. It does everyone I know of.

If all else fails, get thee to a Dr. Could be a blockage of some sort.

first and foremost, do you have it frequently? If so, don't wait to see a doc for advice before you try out anything else.

In general, you need to drink enough water daily, take enough vegetables for fibres to help move it out.

Take prune juice or prune where you can get them both easily from supermarket.

For Chinese, we usually take banana or papaya to help smoothen the bowel movement. have enough sleep and so your body is not "dry and hot" and so the movement is less difficult. do some walking or slow jog exercise if you can to strengthen the abdomen.

last but not the least, see a GP for advice.

If you're in that much pain, I hate to say it but Citric magnesium. Its in a green glass bottle at your local drug store. But watch out, it tastes terrible. It WILL clean you out though.

After emptying out, see your local doctor for a prescription of Colace. Of course, the natural method is more fruit and veggies. Either way, they're soften you up.

Good luck and start the bomb run!

Quick but nasty trick I've learned. 1 cup of prune juice, 1 or 2 tablespoons of milk of mag in the prune juice, heat and guzzle. You'll be pooing in no time. :)

You might want to try Aloe Juice. You can purchase it at your local heath food store. It not only acts as a laxative it will also sooth your stomach problems.

Cascara Sagadra. I am regular due to this herb and the fact that I drink a few cups of very strong Starbucks coffee in the morning.

Hehe,

Ok, so if you don't have a glass of FRESH prune juice handy, pick up a small box of those chewy lollies called 'Jols'. Down a whole pack and see what happens....
