This how it should be. It's a healing blood clot. It will drually turn whitish-gray, then pinkish, and eventually will look like the rest of your gums.

It takes several weeks. That's probably a blood clot (this is a good thing). Don't suck through a straw for a day or so. You don't want the blood clot to get loose or you could get a dry socket. It will take weeks for it to totally heal. You should also have stitches to help.

That's normal i had 4 teeth extracted, my brother had 8 once :S. He was spitting up blood for 3 days (our mouths are too small).

It'll just look and feel weird for a few days.

it takes time to heal about a week or so it will feel better rinse your mouth 3 times a day with warm salt water don't drink just rinse . Rinse every time you eat you don't want to get dry socket by getting some thing caught in it.

Your dentist sucks if they didn't give you instructions and explain this.

Whatever you do DO NOT REMOVE IT. Do not drink from straws either.

If the clot is removed you may get a "Dry Socket" which is the same as if a finger was reattached and lacked blood flow.

I forget how long things will be like this,.. posibly a week.

It depends on your body how long it will take. Talk to your dentist and get his best estimate, follow his advice and you should be ok.
