I see many Silly Questions about.. " HELL ! "

(Matthew 25:41) Then He also shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire = = = prepared for the Devil and his angels.

HELL.... was prepared for the Devil... and the Fallen Angels!

MAN..... Chooses to "Go to Hell"..... Simply.... By Rejecting GOD'S PAYMENT FOR......" YOUR "....... SIN!

" In your Free Will.... < YOU > .... Reject ... GOD ! "

(Heb 10:29) Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy of punishment, the one who has trampled the Son of God, and who has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

(Heb 10:30) For we know Him who has said, "Vengeance belongs to Me, I will repay, says the Lord." And again, "The Lord shall judge His people."

(Heb 10:31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Thanks for Asking! RR

They don't "get it" because they don't like it. It offends their sensibilities. They think God is all-loving, all-forgiving (if they believe in God at all). They ignore his holiness and his righteousness. The notion that we are to be held accountable for our thoughts and deeds is abhorrent to most people, especially those who do not believe in God.

What a lot of people fail to realise is that Jesus, when on earth, had a great deal to say about the subject of hell. In Matthew 10:28 Jesus warned that both body and soul are destroyed in hell. In Matthew 18:8 he talked about the eternal fire, and in Mark 9:43 and 48 he again said that the fire never goes out in hell. Jesus also showed us how to avoid this eternal punishment - by accepting his atoning sacrifice for our sins. God does not desire any to go to hell - that is why he sent Jesus to earth. If Jesus taught it, I believe it.

By all means preach the gospel of salvation and point people to the beauty of Christ as our risen Lord and Saviour, but we are derelict in our duty if we focus purely on God's love and ignore his judgement.

Yet again the erroneous teaching of hellfire is propagated. "Everlasting fire" refers to "everlasing destruction". There is no hope of coming back from the "everlasting fire", but there is no mention of torture in that place. In fact, the Bible is quite clear on the condition of the dead. Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 says: "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten...All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going."

If the dead are conscious of nothing, have no knowledge or wisdom, can they be tortured? According to this, even if hellfire existed (which it doesn't) all they'd be doing 'down there' is roasting empty, lifeless bodies.

The Bible says "The wages sin pays is death." Death is the punishment for sin. It says nothing of eternal torment. When God was passing judgement on Adam and Eve, did he say they'd burn in hell if they disobeyed? No, he said "For dust you are and to dust you will return."(Gen. 3:19)

In response to your scriptures from Hebrews:
-vs 29: Most of the dead have the hope of living again, but these ones do not. Isn't that a "worse punishment"?
-vs 30: Vengeance does belong to God. That is why we should "repay evil for evil to no one."(Romans 12:17)
-vs 31: Yes, it is a fearful thing. It doesn't say he'll torture you for eternity, though.

For Moirases Fate: You Lose. Believing that God should just bring everyone to Heaven regardless of how they lived their life is absurd. Do you believe that our Justice system is wrong because we punish those that do wrong? Probably not. Most people just think that God can't be all caring and send people to Hell, but we have rules to live by. If the rules are broken you don't make it to Heaven. Simple if you ask me. However I think you'll find that most people understand the idea, they just want to accept that God doesn't exist, which is their choice, and my eyes, their mistake to make.

You have a very good point. Best question prize winner! Unless you are of a masochistic orientation Hell can be a Hell of a place for anybody. Hopefully you had a chance to hate your parents and everybody else before following Jesus. All of your unsaved family members and old acquaintances will be in Hell you know? You will have a blessed time watching them being tormented for ever and ever... You will have a chance to tease them, too!

Luke 16:23-25 (NIV) And being in torments in Hell, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

Revelation 14:10-11 "he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb* (*God the Son Jesus Christ and a some selected Christians/John 17:24). And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

A lot of them do get it but, choose to deny it or attack the nature of the situation out of resentment.

Here I am, the dark side of a pretty okay individual speaking that which is true because I have access to his memories and find that denying something factual just becasuse one doesn't like it to be a form of weak mindedness.

This poor sap actually worries that he is not truelly saved and is going to go to Hell because he can't always control me or some of the evil things that I think and say and here I am seemingly defending him. How ironic is that?

Anyway, good or evil, I am not going to dodge the truth just because I want things to be the way that I want them to be.

Furthermore, a lot of 'non-believers' have been thoroughly indoctrinated against the creater since childhood.

Correct we have the choice it all depends on the actions of you while her on earth...we have a choice between to master one God and the other the devil...one loves us the other is out to kill us and we have some "dumb dums" he allow him to just take them on over

it is a fearful thing to fall in the hands of an angry God...be careful of your action being a Christian is not hard, but some people like to take the other way instead

some people believe that God is too loving to do something so mean to His creation but I feel that if you say that you believe in God and love Him then you will believe His Word.
Also, the Bible is a hidden mystery so it doesn't matter how many times you read you will never understand it until God shows you his truth... and the only way He will show you is if you seek Him.
there is a heaven and hell, choose to serve either God or satan. Choose You this day whom you shall serve...as for me and my house we'll serve the Lord.

People do get it.
Why do you think they spend hours and hours trying to unbelief GOD away in R&S? Let's put this into perspective. I do not believe the earth is flat. If I spent all my time and energy going to flat earth web sites trying to convence the people there that the world was round, don't you think it would be rather silly? Especally if I got all bent out of shape if they continued to believe the world is flat. I would think I needed some profesional help no? BUT!! If I deep down knew the world was flat but didn't want to come to grips with that, It would make sense that I was trying to "Rationalize it away."

I don't "get" hell because it doesn't exist. Belief in a just and/or merciful God who sends (or at least allows) people to go to hell for an eternity for finite offenses defies reason, and is an obvious contradiction. It's a tactic used to control others and scare them into/keep them in the religion. Sorry, but I'm not swayed by fear and/or irrationality.

There are always those who blame someone else-especially God-for the problems they bring onto themselves by the bad choices they make. We are each responsible for the consequences of our choices and actions. Some never seem to understand this concept. God bless you for making it so clear, though many will blast you for this post and accuse you of threatening them with Hell. God bless you.
