culturally, across the board,it is a form of intimidation. (the person may only want someone else to ;provide some validation to what they think) This causes people to avoid asking further questions. I think this form of intimidation can potentially cause tragedy: something that there was no need to occur. Sometimes we don't want to follow our own instinct for fear of ridicule. In this case the stupidest question is the one that was never asked.
FOR ALL OF YOU WHO HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS, DON'T. WHEN SOMEONE ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION WITH AN INSULT, IGNORE THEM. WHEN WE ASK QUESTIONS SEEKING THE TRUTH, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THOSE AMONG THE RESPONSES. IT SHOWS THEIR IGNORANCE.
