i was in a car accident last month and i had no insurance or no license. I was stopped at a red light in the left turn lane. The light turned green and i waited for the driver in front of me to go straight before i went left. As soon as the light turned green, he started heading straight for me. I was scared so i tried to move my car out of the way by turning the wheel to the right and hitting the gas. i still got hit in the drivers door. The cop came and gave him a ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. His insurance company called me and said they were not going to pay for the damages, claiming that this was my fault because i was turning. However, it is impossible because of where the damages on the cars is. There was a witness who called 911 and gave her info, but left before the police got there. How do i resolve this situation?

Lawyer time...

Actually since you were not in the act of turning but waiting for their client to get out of your way so you could turn, they should pay. They probably are looking at it; since you don't have insurance or a license they can get out of paying for it.

Yeah sounds slightly fishy. I'd dossier a record on the cop retailer, will have to be the top of it. A identical kind of rip-off was once tried with me (I suppose) over a yr in the past, I was once riding down a street slowly (10mph) as there was once a few lad approximately 18 years historical pratting approximately on a skateboard within the core of the street. As I drove beyond him slowly he simply skated immediately into the part of the automobile and his board slid below the again wheel. Obviously the again wheel went over his skateboard because it went with a thud and the again wheel jumped. I was once in an steeply-priced physical activities automobile on the time and in an overly dodgy discipline and notion theres no manner that is for truly and theres no manner im getting out of the automobile if I need to. Everything approximately it gave the impression to be a whole setup...the automobile, the lad, the instances, ie he was once intentionally preventing vehicles. I checked the mirrors and the lad was once getting up off the ground so wasnt useless no less than. I went immediately to the police station and gave an entire announcement approximately what had simply occurred. The police officer agreed it was once very fishy and stated they would be in contact. That was once a yr in the past and Ive heard not anything when you consider that. So dont recognize whether or not he was once short of to hijack the automobile or get an coverage declare in however both manner he didnt get some thing however a sore **** and a damaged skateboard.

first of all if there was a police report filed stating it was the other drivers fault you need to fax it to that persons insurance company... secondly... i don't know that they would have to pay for the damages to your car since you don't have insurance on it and you didn't have a valid drivers licsense... i mean if you feel like pursuing it that is the first step i would take is faxing proof that it was not your fault to the other persons insurance company... but they will probobly ask for your insurance carrier at the time of the accident and it might just pose more problems for you in the long run... my ? for you is how did you manage to escape getting a ticket due to the fact you have no ID and no insurance?

You have no insurance. You have no drivers license. it's the other person's fault why? You should not have been there. If you hadn't been, there would have been no accident. His insurance has said no. It's doubtful you can change their mind. Did you get a ticket for no license and no insurance? Resolve that first.

Too late for this situation. For the next time, get a license and insurance.

You are at fault. You should not be driving because you have no license and no insurance.
