Out of those programs, what would you think someone wanting to enlist in the Marines as a tank crewman should get an associates degree in? I know there obviously arent any direct equivalents, but what do you think would give someone any help whatsoever in the Marines?

Possibly tractor/trailer driver? I don't understand what one thing has to do with the other. The only thing an Associates Degree will get you is possibly a stripe in, or just after basic training. I don't think the pay grade is much different so it will not matter unless you plan on staying in for a career. Then you can turn an associates degree into a bachelor's while on active duty and eventually go to Officer Training/Candidate School which depending on your time in service might allow you to become a Captain (O-3) in relatively short order. Good Luck and Semper Fi!

No reason to get a degree to be on a tank. Why not check with your recruiter and see what MOS's are needed and study in that area? Not much need for tank people after you get out of the service. My advise would be to enter a field you can use later.

I believe I told someone else the same thing. Even if you do get a degree that you think might help you with your MOS, it really wont. Yeah, you might have an edge but they will re-train the way they want you to know the information.
