How do you make a picture in a scanner bigger?

I scan a picture onto my computer that came out small what would i do to make it bigger

In your scanner software, change the Dots Per Inch (DPI) to a higher number. 75 DPI is good enough to view only, 300 DPI is good for black & white proof printing and higher numbers are used when printing out LARGE colour photos.
