yes its good enough to live, there is a crime probelm but its in very concentraed areas, if your thinking about moving her, say come down and visit first.

Some areas are never touched by the levee breaks, like the French Quarter, but others like the lower 9th Ward are still in ruins,as I write this.

Crime rate is very high right now, very few safe places to live and you will need lots of cash to live in them. New Gov. may help but it will take some time.

By the time it gets good enough it will be too expensive.

To get a good deal one has to move in before its good enough.
