We have math, english, science and social studies together.
We dont have get project partners at school so thats out of the picture and i cant really ask him about homework because we dont get much

Drop your pencil near him, ask him to grab it,
then compliment him on his shoes or something.

Just go up and talk to him. You don't need an "excuse" to talk to someone. How old are you anyway?
Some suggestions if I were you:
-Ask him what classes he's taking
-Ask him general questions (what's up, what are you doing today, etc.)
-If you don't understand something, go to him and ask him to explain it
-Just go up and say hey.
You just have to find ways to strike a conversation with him.
It'll work out, trust me.

casually, ask his opinion or idea on something discussed in class, or what he thinks about the hot movie that's playing now, or complement him on something he's said or done, or ask to borrow his textbook even. now, you must have courage to do this....and these are simple ways to start getting close to him.

when the class is really boring just make a commment to him....other days just when hes loooking at you smile at him but don't say anything let him make a move sometimes.hope this helps.
