I don't want the company to use my marketing ideas if they don't hire me. The company is not paying me for this plan. Thanks for your advice.

If you don't have the money or time for a copy rite, make a copy and mail it to yourself, but don't open it. That's a poor man's copy rite.

Everything that you write down (place in fixed form), is automatically your copyright. What you merely discuss with them (ideas) is not, and they would be free to use. So get it down on paper before presented, and limit the presentation to the script!! If an idea comes to you in the process of interview, write out your response first so it will be copyright on the spot. you might even have them initial and date your script and notes just to put them on notice how serious you are. If this was the other way around, you can believe they would require you to sign a non-disclosure pact.
