and i had the mole removed. it was asymmetrical, irregular borders, not round, kind of big, but not really large, and the coloring was different. i noticed years ago that it changed and so i have a feeling it could be nothing, but what do you think? ever have this experience? just got a letter from the skin doctor today saying i need to call for the results, but he will be in on monday.

If the letter says call for results, then I would suspect the findings are negative. If, when you call, they say you should come in to discuss the results with your doctor, then I would begin to get a little concerned. I would only begin to be concerned because some doctors insist you "come in" even for benign results because they want to collect for an office visit. Bottom line, try not to worry until you hear the results straight from the doctor, or his office, or read the report yourself.

If you are calling for the results, then it is probably benign unless you have a doctor that delivers bad news over the phone. To me, that is unethical. Hopefully, you caught it in time and won't have to go thru any further treatment. Otherwise, you have to wait to talk to the doctor. Hope it is good news.

Unfortunately you'll have to wait until Monday to get your results. Good job for having it removed. It may be nothing, but if it is something you more than likely had it removed in time. Usually once removed you're good to go. Best of Luck.
