I need a few shades of yellow for my bathroom. The shades in the Home Depot don't work. So figured I would just ask here and look up the color on the internet and buy the paint from there. thanks!

Yeah, I'm thinking about the Egyptian Gold. I looked it up and it looks nice. But the other colors are nice too. I can't decide! All our walls are white and the only room I'm having trouble on is the bathroom.

Yellow is the most difficult color to get right. It never goes on the wall the same as the color strip so you have to play with a lot of yellows from many different paint companies. If you don't like what Home Depot had to offer, look at other paint companies from other hardware stores or find a Sherwin Williams store.

I like the warmer saturated feel of the following Benjamin Moore options:
HC-4 Hawthorne Yellow
2154-50 Straw
HC-12 Concord Ivory
Sherwin Williams offers a historical restoration palette of paints which is worth perusing.
Also, California Paints is known for offering a lot of variety per hue.

its very hard to pick out a yellow color becos it all depends on the lighting u hav.is there a window?how much light does it give the bathroom. the best way 2 chose this is by going to several stores that sell paints and pic samples u think u like.take them home and tape to br wall.leave for a few day.see the colores in diferent times of day.

I can't believe out of the colors they have you can't find a yellow you like.
First of all, go to Lowes, they're better.
Second, just take something in from that room, like a pillow, a sheet or bedspread, a curtain, or whatever it was that gave you the idea in the first place, to Lowes. They can match anything.

Light yellow has a peaceful look to it but a yellow that's a little bit darker is better.
AT least i think so.
