My Steve was eleven years younger than me, and if I had to do it over again, I would have discouraged him. The problem is, women age differently from men. At some point you will have to confront the idea that he may be looking at you as more of a mother or a mentor than a mate. Enjoy his company, keep him as a friend, but don't marry him. And I would be careful about living with him for the same reason. Let the future be open and free for you both, and enjoy the moment.

P.S. If the financial angle is most of his fascination, the easy way to find out is to stop spending your money on him. If he's still interested in you, he's a real friend. If it makes him cranky, you will have to decide. Maybe you want to indulge him, maybe not.

Age should not be a barrier to a good relationship. It is obvious from your question that there are other issues. If you love him, or are even very fond of him, go for it. If you have doubts, bide your time. Time will sort things out. Don't be pushed.
