I am a Christian respecting all religions alike. I exhort all my brethren to send one sentence Ramzan(this festival is over), Diwali, Christmas and other Greetings through E-mail to all their friends. This will be an effective step to rise beyond religion and spread feelings of brotherhood between all. Please act.

Here Here! I'm not Hindu but would also like to say 'Pooja Greetings' to Hindus all over the world!
Diwali (or Deepavali) this year is on Friday, 9 November where Hindus, Sikhs and Jains all celebrate the Festival of Lights.
I often celebrate with family and friends. It holds a special place in all our hearts as we are one family, coming together to celebrate such a wonderful event and for what it represents. It holds a special place in many hearts of Sikhs in the struggle for Freedom. This is not dissimilar to the triumph of good over evil that is represented in the Hindu faith.
In saying that, Diwali is one festival where we all celebrate as one community and we take on everything represented by Diwali. No one is trying to discredit the others view and symbolism.
There is not much of a Jain community in Scotland, therefore, Sikhs and Hindus celebrate together.
Primarily, and traditionally, seen as Hindu event but it is also held in the highest regard for the other 2 Indian religions. Again in Diwali we are all united (as family) and it holds a very special place in my heart for this and aforementioned reasons.

It shows greatness of your heart. If every one thinks this way, religious conflicts will automatically calm down. Thank you. Keep it up forever.
