All religions judge. I don't care what you think. They all teach that their own is the right one, and if you don't believe you'll be judged. That is how they work. Judgment for all eternity.

Those your father encounters are the brand of Christian who think they have a mandate from the Bible to convert the world.
They do not. Conversion is what the Holy Spirit does.
Your father may tell them that he has indeed heard the word of the Bible, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, thank them for their concern, and close the conversation by wishing them peace.
That is our job: We are only to make sure people have heard the Gospel. To take it further by compelling a profession of faith right then and there is misplaced zeal.
Peace be with you.

Judging persons for any of the above and many different issues, is a curious phenomenon. As we decide others we are unquestionably judging ourselves. If we experience we ought to decide, we immediately place ourselves able of "extra effective" in some way than the different individual. lots negativity is linked with judging others, beginning up with that essence of feeling in a roundabout much extra effective or extra worth, or holier, or much less materialistic, or extra regulation-abiding, or much less ineffective, etc. than yet another. So in this assessment of ourselves and the different, we lose any danger of connection with the different. If we lose that, we lose the main useful factor of our time here: that of gaining awareness of our connection to all of humanity. “do no longer decide, or you too would be decide ! For Christians, truth is a narrow view...if you do not believe in what THEY believe, you must be "taught" the truth...however, your father is on his own path, while they are on their own. I do not understand why people need to force their views on others. I'm on my own path, so is everyone else. Get over it Christian boys and girls. Your truth isn't the only truth out there. And your path might not be everyone else's path. That's what I say...that's what I believe, and that is what I follow when it comes to talking to others. Why can't Christians do that to?
PAULO- You're right, that IS one of the most judgmental statements known to man, and the sad thing is that he then taught tolerance and non-judging...ironic isn't it?
Catholic Crusader- That's just wrong. Did you kill any one who didn't believe in YOUR God lately? Bigoted fool.

Many people are just plain ignorant when it comes to people with muslim names or people who appear to look muslim. My friend was born in America, her parents came here from Jordan. After 9/11 she has gotten so much **** for looking the way she does. The funniest part is that her whole family is catholic. Anyway, it's called ignorance hunny.

Why do you think God the Son Jesus Christ (PBUH) said that you must HATE you father and mother and everybody else to become his follower? Either comply or go to Hell!

Not all Christians pass judgement like that my friend, only most of the fundy ones. One advice many people give me concerning fundamentalists like that is to just ignore them or if becomes worse, move to another place with a more tolerant church.
To Catholic Crusader - You make Catholics look bad. If we were both in the Crusades right now I would've drawn my sword against you.

Christians are not supposed to. If he is experiencing this at a certain church, then he needs to find another church. All churches are not like this. Most good churches are loving and accepting. It's not up to us to judge another, and if he's being judged on his name alone, again, he needs to find another church.

Some good answers here. I cannot add to that other than to say Paulo was not being arrogant, just quoting scripture.

Not all Christians are like this thankfully, the more fundamental ones are addicted to this type of behavior, they cannot for the life of them be subtle but use the scriptures as you would use a sledgehammer.
