EVERYWHERE you look, there's another Harry Potter. Posters on the street. TV commercials in every break. Pop-up ads on the internet. Articles in newspapers commenting on the fact that there's a Harry Potter blitz on, and there's no escaping it.

Not since George Bush decided to invade Iraq over weapons of mass destruction has the world been so engrossed with a fantasy story.

The reason for this publicity overload is obvious. Due either to excellent or appalling co-ordination between publisher and studio, the latest Harry Potter book and the latest film are both released this

You might want to go to the link I've provided as a source below. It is the Act of Congress which authorized military operatons against Iraq. The reasons for our taking such action are clearly spelled out, with precious little reference to weapons of mass destruction. In fact, many of those same reasons can be found in the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, which was passed by the previous administration.
I fear that the fantasy over WMDs may be more in the minds of media types and elected officials too lazy or too ill-equipped to do some basic fact-checking.
