This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will understand.
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.
When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine loving a God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and un-kept.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me." "Exactly!"- Affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

It's a statement as to our inability to control things.
Why do people build houses and then live in them? To control the environment so that it is more comfortable for them.
Why do people tend to want to make a lot of money? To control what they have and don't have.
But who is in control over living and dying? Who controls when? Sometimes doctors can help some to avoid discomfort and death. But not always. There is a limit to their control.
To this, I read what Jesus says about that:
1 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."
( Luke 13 )
Jesus told these people that stuff happens. We cannot control the disasters or the time of our death in many cases. We can avoid them as much as possible, but we cannot avoid them entirely.
So we then must not put it off, today if we hear His voice, should not harden our hearts. It might be the last chance we get.

God did not have any suffering before the fall of man. Once sin came into the world so did death and sufferings. Now we face death and suffering every day

What suffering?!
because we have free will and we can do whatever we want. we need to face problems in order to advance. there will always be suffering, why do you expect God to help us with everything we want? wouldn't 'that' be a sky daddy?
Why blame God for all the bad things that happen everyday but never thank him for the good things?

Suffering was willfully brought into the world by Adam and Eve's sin. All physical/emotional pain and even death is a result of sin.

God made man and the world perfect . Due to Eve and Adam disobedience God cursed the world with sin and we have to live in the result of their sin.

God did create a world of no suffering; a world of no tears, no pain, no war, no famine, no diseases. A place where bad things never happen to good people, and where everything is made right.
It's called HEAVEN, my friend and I hope to see you there!

Suffering brings us closer to God. Man brings suffering on himself, God has nothing to do with it. God only intervenes when he is asked to. Otherwise, he stays out of mans business.

Suffering was caused by Adam and Eve's fall from Grace. That is, it's caused by sin. It's only by repenting for and seeking forgiveness for sins and seeking God that we can ease our suffering.

And exactly what suffering is that? Oh, boy. here we go again with "It's all God's fault (even though He doesn't exist), and man had nothing to do with it."
Really......
