I think it sounds like a very beautiful place. I don't know whether it is possible to create reality post our deaths with our beliefs or thoughts. I am an evidential sort of gal so right now I think based on evidence (or lack thereof) I think that I will just be dead. It doesn't scare me that much although I choose not to dwell on death a lot but rather mostly focus on life. I think its only scary and bothersome to contemplate it, when you actually are dead it won't bother you at all so its pointless to worry about. I have ideas about cremation and having my ashes scattered on the island I grew up on and the sea. I have friends who have similar ideas to yours though. One is a Pagan and believes she will go to Summerland then be reincarnated. She also believes that the Christian heaven and hell concepts are only valid for those who believe in them. I have atheist and Buddhist friends who believe in reincarnation or some form of spirit energy that transcends death. Atheism doesn't mean you can't have any supernatural or metaphysical beliefs, it only means they don't involve deities. Best wishes!

Peace be upon you
Do any one of your relatives go this island before?
What is the reason that makes you sure to think like that?
We came in a comact system, like all of creatures around us - sun, moon, , sea, trees, flowers, animals, ....
We have a certain job in this life , and as anything you practice in daily program - you have to take a result due to your work.
This is also life, as you work, as you get after death.
Islam tells you that you will live two times , not only one, but to keep your safety and happiness of the second time you have to good deal in the first time. Islam gives you the way map that you have to go, this is for all human being and not specified for certain layer.
Islam gives human all what he/she needs to be a vital member, from A to Z. These needs of his life constituents is of a high goodness food and drink materials, home and dressing, and fine life styles. All are with a path that assure human welfare, either he is as one individual or a group of people.

Wishing won't make it so.
It actually sounds dreary and boring. You seem to be saying that what you want to believe in exists and what you don't - doesn't. This might be par for the course for a theistic mind but it's still utterly insane.
What do you mean 'fellow atheists'?

When you die, It should be during the time of Christmas, when surprise packages are opened. Since you love surprises, you are really going to get one.

Nothing is going to happen, I won't be going anywhere, no matter how much I want to. It'll be like it was before I was born...

Just because you want to deny the truth does not mean you will not have to face it one day.
