I have been to the dentists too many times to count over my 33 years and have never been worried about any procedure at all , give me 20-30 needles pull my teeth out i didnt care.

That was until 2 years ago when i needed a tooth pulled out. As the dentist gave me the needle she hit a nerve in my mouth and knocked me out, not totally cold but i couldnt see very well at all i was spinning dizzy near vomiting it's was a horrific experience , the stupid dentist told me i must have passed out due to stress of knowing my tooth was pulled out PFFT .

I was so worried about that happening i never got that tooth pulled out until 3 days ago i put up with on off pain for 2 years until last week it was too unbearable, i went and saw a different dentist of course and told them my story they were really good to me but everytime i opened my mouth ready for the needle i would shut it again this went on for at least 20 mins like this poor dentist i carried on like a 2 year old i swear i had to have my husband there holding my hand , then when i finally got the needle given to me i had amassive aniexty attack jumped out the of the chair and stood up ( feel like a freak thinking about it now lol ) then my husband had to grab me and sit me back down which i did but then i started crying so the dentists told me he had other patients he has to see too i felt horrible so with my hubby holding my hand i opened my gob and out came the tooth .

so to your question i hate hate hate the dentists

I don't exactly like going to the dentist. No specific fears, just a general discomfort with all medical and dental procedures. However I consider it an important part of health maintenance, so I tolerate it.

I do like my current dentist much better than my former one because the office is more modern and there are TVs with a nice DVD collection for distraction. Distraction from dental work is good.

i LOVE going to my dentists and by looking at what others have put i am very weird. my dentist is sometimes gentil but also quite often forceful when she pulls my mouth about but i dont mind that at all. i dont know why people fear the dentists it only hurts if you dont brush. i find the tool that the dentist uses and she shows them to me and i like going to so there we go im weird.

I am scared of Needles. That shot in the mouth doesn't work on me or takes hours to start numbing.

The medical community in my area has gone to Hell for a few years now. I think my dental insanity started in 2000,.. been bounceing around from bad dentist to bad dentist,.. not like anyone else in the medical field has been of any help in recent years.

I have gone from 1 filling to I have no clue how many fillings I have.

The last couple places went drill crazy on my poor teeth. It kinda doesn't make sense because Dentist always love my teeth,.. but then these people go nuts on them.

The last couple places I went were a Free Place and a place owned by Husband and Wife.
The Free place had High School and College Students working on me. I did not have a choice because there was no Dental for people on Disablity at the time. They had no soap and were telling everyone to swallow their toothpaste and mouthwash. Read your Toothpaste and Mouthwasah some time,.. doing that constantly is unhealthy and has great potential to do serious damage, if not destroy some organs in the process.

This last place I went to, I went there less then a year ago and had good teeth,.. the cleanest they had seen,.. with a note that if everyone took as good care of their teeth as me the Dental community would be in danger. This year (same place) I was embarassed, insulted, attacked, and joked about. They said I needed one normal filling and 3 small fillings,.. this would be done in 3 teeth which the Dentist (who was a woman instead of the man I had last year) pointed out. I returned for my fillings days later, was given a shot against my wishes, had a bad reaction to the shot, had two teeth worked on THAT WERE NOT POINTED OUT, was given more shots,.. got too bad from bad reactions to be worked on any more. My fillings were a mess and she had been drilling too deeply and hollowed my tooth out [I believe she also cracked that tooth]. My mom got me the guy I had last time since I was refuseing this woman. Some guy twice the age of the guy last year starts drilling my teeth,.. made nasty comments, drilled deeper then the woman, hallowed out four teeth. Fillings were bad again. He told me to come back for more work but refuses to say what work. So I have had 5 teeth hollowed out,.. a sixth one posibly (it's in front so more difficult to say) and only one of the three teeth that they were going to work on has been done.

Do you like the dentist? Not any I've seen over the past few years.

Do you fear the dentist? I FEAR I am going to have Anxiety every time I go to a Dentist now >.<

Do you fear dentist tools? When I went to the Free Place where they kept " Wrong! Wrong! Wrong place! NO, Wrong Tooth!!!" while working on me,.. they had before been talking about how the drill was bent and kinda broken. So I guess it depends on the Tools condition.

Do you feel wierd about going? NOW I WILL!!!

Do you like going to the dentist? Not any more,.. it's become a malpractice drenched trumatic experience. Especially since a couple dentist ago one cut chunks out of my mom's cheek, gum, and jaw. They had cut my cheek, lip, and gum I think (hard to remember).

I hate the dentist! I am terrified of the dentist! I had a very bad experience with a dentist when I was a kid and it messed me up bad! My orthodontist, well, he was great, no fear there and now I have great straight teeth, but, the dentist......I am absolutely terrified!!!!!!!

And the tools, well, they all seem like medieval torture devices.

I fear phony charges and unecessary work being done. The last time I was at a dentist was 11 years ago, when I was in a car wreck.

Honstely, I am terrified of the dentist. It's not about getting my teeth cleaned, I actually enjoy that part when they clean my teeth, but I hate when they look for cavaities and decay, because I am always woried if I have a cavitie. I also hate going in to get teeth pulled, cavities, braces tightend, and other spiecal things like that.

I like my dentist. I consider him to be a close friend. Some times I pop in just to say hello.
