This is a serious question and not intended to malign any religious belief?

...and don't give me the answer that you want to serve god and fellowmen more. It is simply not true. Be honest.

Very good questions. Native American Christians do pray for a peaceful crossing over to the other side. We try to give support to help them embrace the Great Spirit that is God.

We know that Jesus healed many and that his power exist. We as Christians need to yield to Gods will.
prayers within the will of God are powerful.

I have no problem with," Lord if it be thy will , heal my brother but if it be thy will to take him home , please make the way clear and joyful.

You must be aware that many that wear the title of Christian are not saved or submitted to Gods will.

I know that the saints of God will come out of many denominations and that only God knows who he will call. Your relationship with God is personal and individual.

I respect the I believe far more than the we believe any day.

Well, nobody wants to be in pain.

Also, this thing that all go to heaven is simply wrong and is easily shown to be wrong by scriptures.

The Saints that shall and have gone to heaven actually are shown to desire a release from their bodies. Thus a prayer to that effect is not unusual. Still, as to the manner of death, nobody wants as said to be dying painfully.

If you desire honesty in this one case, I have and do pray sometimes daily that my judgment be now and for me to be released.

When such is not granted and when I am in pain I at times pray for help with this pain.

A lot of people do not understand what the true purpose of going to heaven is for. There is no food there, the belly is done away with. There is no Johnny Carson there. Oh sorry, neither are there any Johnny Carson programs here any longer. No movie theater, no TV, and the kind of life you had here is definitely not there.

How many people want to live without their beefsteaks, their pizza, their apple pies, and their sundaes?

Good question. Ask in church from the pulpit; raise your hand if you believe in heaven.[everybody] Raise your hand if you believe it is a beautiful perfect place.[everybody] Who wants to go there?[everybody] Who wants to go today.[ Very few or nobody.] It is amazing. I am a Christian and believe that Jesus is my Saviour.I usually go twice a Sunday to church.
We know there is a Japan and we know there is a George Bush. We believe there is a heaven. We believe there is a Jesus Christ. I believe heaven is a better place but I like it here and I do not want to die.

Nobody wishes to suffer. We may be saved; we may know a glimpse of the glory that awaits; yet, death is still something none of us has ever experienced. It is a source of apprehension for most.

Even the Lord Jesus Christ, on the night He was betrayed, prayed to the Father to remove this cup and let it pass from Him, but Thy will be done not My own. Of course, God the Father knew that only His own sinless Son could pay the price for our sins.

No one intentionally desires to suffer. Yet, suffering exists in a world cursed by sin. And, despite the unpleasantness, there are some things worth suffering for.

Because there is nothing wrong with enjoying life while you have it....there is nothing wrong with wanting to be with the people God has blessed your life with. Many of us look at life as a gift, and most of us Cherish it-we just also know that it is OK if we die too.
So....that's why. Hope I gave you some insight

I find it hillarious that some of these are going to be given a thumbs down-how can you, when the question ASKED why we do this and we are explaining why? People are strange

I pray for blessings and a better life while I'm on earth. This is one of God's rewards. I do believe in Heaven and am looking forward to going.

My Turtle,
It is not possible to be comfortable with the time we have on earth if we atre in pain throughout our stay here. I am on disability for my disability but I pray mainly for others. I am in constant and continual pain throughout the day and the night from diabetic complications. I am not able to drive during the daytime without constant and continual blood tests. Heaven will be a better place but I love my family on earth and wish to help them as long as I am able to do so. GOD has blessed me in many ways and I do not truly want to leave them until HE is ready for me to go. Have a wonderful weekend and a Glorious LORD'S DAY!
Thank You,
Eds

Bella,
I love GOD, my wife, children, family, and my friends. However, I am truly ready to DIE when HE is ready for me to go now. I pray that when HE takes me it will be quickly so that my family does not see me suffer too long. YOU are a wonderful woman & friend!

Probably so they can do good on earth first - then they will get into heaven easier
yeaah right
People don't wanna die even if they believe they will go to a better place later Maybe thats why its a sin to kill yourself the church thought that if heaven was so great people would commit suicide to get there

Because I trust God to keep His promises. That's what makes me a Christian; God said something and I believe it.

Everyone has something that they believe, I choose to believe God.
