PLEASE NOT THAT I DO NOT WISH TO OFFEND WOMEN. I just want to know what you think about this. I think that these are the main things that lead to discord and fighting among humans in this world. Answering yes for women however is not going to decrease their status just like land and wealth is going to remain preciouse even if you agreee that it is cause of discord. What else do you think leads to war besides these things and religion?

Well if you look at history all wars were about that. ALOT of them were over a woman too (some of the more famous ones anyhow). But some wars are more sinister than that some people do it just to kill and destroy and make things worse. Besides lets just say you wanted to destroy a great empire (this is hypothetical) The easiest way to do it would be to lead it then use up all its resources and military power then once its all gone its ripe for the picking by someone who normally would stand no chance.

Land, definitely yes. But more importantly the potential of the land to create wealth.

But above all this, the real reason for wars is political. Politicians have an intrinsic motive in keeping conflicts going, because that 's when they are most in business.

Reasons for war are:
A) For natural resources. Or for a port of entry.
B) Fear: The fear that if you don't fight your enemy now while he is not stronger than you, would be better than later when he will be stronger.
C) Overpopulation. You need more land for your expanding population.
D) Misunderstanding. You sank my ship, I will sink 2 of yours.

But Ideology is the lowest of reasons. If you were to research all wars fought, Ideology accounts to less than 10% of all wars.

Land, wealth, and power, religion. Maybe in the days of old women were part of it, but Money, land and power were main motivators, there have been wars for religion, but they were thinly disguised reasons for a reason to fight for land and power.

The main answer to this questions is power. Power trumps over all, many people will do anything to have power because whoever holds the power controls just about everything else.
