I don’t think they love eating this Hanging Rice they call “Puso” (heart)
Instead they are PROUD of this delicacy.
This rice they say can stay unspoiled for weeks even a month.
I have tasted it and it is not really exceptional, but just looking at those hanging wrapped heart shape rice is a must in this City of Cebu, in the Philippines.

Sometimes dear, it is tradition that makes Cebuano’s eat this rice as they have grown accustomed to it.
It is the same with Kimchi that is likewise the pride of Korea, or Pasta forever in Italy. Like rice is to Filipinos and Bread is to Americans.

It would be hard to appreciate it when you did not grow up in this place where you can see it hanging in almost in all corners of food stands.
Therefore…it is understandable dear…

Perhaps the cooked rice catches the aroma of delicate coconut leaves. Why not try once yourself ?
