Do all of us non-believers a favor and follow this rule to the letter, please. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Yes. If someone decides for him/herself that they want to come to know God and dedicate their life to Godly standards, in other words, to repent against their old ways, this is regarded as good friendship material and a good marriage mate. This means if they have changed from their former ways and the bring their life in harmony with God's standards and not the world's which is Satan's, then sure this one can be considered being yoked with you.

Many persons, especially, young people, marry mates just for sex or because someone is cute instead of marrying for the right reasons. These relationships usually end up in divorce or worse.

It's best to follow truthful Bible standards and marry the way that will prove fruitful rather marrying for ungodly reasons.

Wherever you quote the Bible and then follow it up with "But I think..." you are automatically wrong and guilty of idolatry ie trying to create a God that thinks what you think, likes what you like and dislikes what you like. The Bible is clear. Don't get married to an unbeliever. If they come to faith in God while you're still friends, THEN you can marry them, sure. Nothing wrong with that at all.

If you are a Christian, it is best to marry a Christian.

The Buddha taught a suitable partner has four qualities:

(1) the same faith and goals;

(2) the same morality;

(3) the same generosity/sacrifice;

(4) the same wisdom.

If you are a believer and marry an unbeliever you will find your life very soon full of grief and turmoil. On what terms will you be able to find agreement?

Nope. The nonbelievers will only bring you down, and the nonchristians don't need to be sullying themselves either by associating with Christians. It's best if everyone just keeps to their own kind.

If your boyfriend or girlfriend is not Christian then you should not date them. And for sure you should only marry a believer.
This is the Bible verse for "don't be yoked together with non-believers."

I believe you have the wrong interpretation of the Bible. Go back to the text and see who Paul is addressing here and why!

Only then will you know what the verse really means!
