when I hear people say stuff like "what does god eat for dinner" or "does god have a wife" it really makes me wonder if they're serious or not. if they are, then obvious they've been influenced by the movies too much. they all they god is "superman" who's got super powers and can do anything..
god is very simply the prescence of good. god is not a person, he doesn't think like a human being, god is pure good. god is among every part of this world, he is everywhere. but if you refuse to believe that god's there, then you're gonna be blinded by evil. God only seem far away because you've been blinded for too long, start believing and god will appear. keep believing and he will appear closer, finally he will have all of you and you'll be pure once again.
Belive in jesus! jesus is the messenger of god!

I believe that Jesus was a historical person,will that take me closer to God?
How could I believe that he died for " my sins" when I never sinned at all, everything I did was simply a mistake and I don't make the same mistakes anymore, will that take me closer to God?
I will live and continue to make other mistakes, I am human after all, will I be punished for trying and also making mistakes?
Believing in Jesus will not stop me from making mistakes and for "heavens" sake what is the message of Jesus?
Which one of you should I believe, every christian denomination has their own interpretation of Jesus"s message, hell most of you cant even get to agree on it most of the time.
My point is, stop calling people dumb for what they believe in when even the message you are propagating is not clear.

try reading this whole thing before you get offended and quit. the real question is why do you believe in god? i believe in peace, love, good will, etc. but this bs about some all powerful all knowing god who is vengeful and spiteful when you dont worship him is crap. jesus was not the son of god he was a famous preacher at best. religion is the biggest problem in the entire world. if religion could magically disappear tomorrow you would be amazed at how many of the worlds problems were to vanish. all i ask is that you do good. and if you feel you must worship god then do it in your own way at your own home.

maybe because it is stated in the Bible that He created humans in His "likeness". Some people misinterpret it thinking that God is a human, but i think that other people just want to believe someone that is tangible, someone like them. That's why people address Him sometimes as Father, our Lord, and such.
