Hi Moon VG.
No, I don't like to sleep. I feel I am missing too much. It is Saturday; and I didn't wake up until 10:30am. That is very late for me. I love the early morning hours. It is very quiet & peaceful. Everyone in the world seems to be still asleep (at least my husband is). ;-)
I can watch the sky change colors as the sun is rising. I usually wake up by 5:30am. I don't set an alarm clock; that's just my internal clock. My cat is still sleepy but loves it when I wake up & give her a lot of attention. Those early hours are just for me, no disturbances.
Life is too short. Sleeping only makes it shorter.
But once in a while, when I am very tired, I do enjoy turning everything off, and just snuggling down into the pillows and drifting off. I am busy in my sleep, too. I have very vivid dreams. I often wonder if I am in a different world during sleep, living a different life.
It could be interesting.
:-)

Not Really, as I sort of have a build in alarm clock that makes me wake up early automatically.
So during weekends I indulge in what the Dutch call " Soezelen"
( Soozling ). Sort of lazying about in bed listening to some music, being half awake daydreaming a little happily knowing
there is no pressing reason to " rise and shine ".
A great way to start a weekend, and definitely also a way to enjoy the day ( but just the beginning of it ).
So happy Soozling to you Moon:), if you wish to try it !.

I have had insomnia for years and decided to address it when I couldn't fall asleep until 3-4 and had to get up at 6.
My doctor put me on Ambien(scary stuff) 5 years ago. I have tried different meds and methods.
I would feel blessed to be able to have a normal sleep pattern without taking medication.
To answer your question I don't stay in bed past 9 unless I'm lucky enough to work then it takes 2 alarm clocks, the TV coming on and a call from my dad to wake me up:(

Once I had children, that did my sleeping days in! You just get into the habit of getting up at a, what I term, reasonable time. I am up before the birds start chirping and quite frankly envy people that can actually sleep "in" until mid morning. The flip side is I am not a late night person, turn into a pumpkin by 10 or before. Let me share, when I was in Hawaii, I would get up and walk the beach in Kauai before the sun came up. It was the most spectacular memory of hues of grey, pink, and muted blues over the horizon; the sight was beyond description with its beauty.

Oh, I sleep as long as I can on the weekends. Sometimes I have to work on Saturdays, like today, so that means I ain't getting up any time early tomorrow! I looove sleeping, and I don't get enough of it at night, so I tend to sleep til 1-2 o'clock on the weekends if I can! :)

I like to sleep all morning every day of the week! I'm NOT a morning person AT ALL!!! I'd rather stay up all night and sleep all morning and even into the afternoon a little.

Wonderful morning to you Moon.
It is 4:09 AM here. : )
I am staying up. Don't like trying to go back to bed. I still like seeing the sun come up and the start of a new day.

Yes ma'am I sure do.. But I never do that because if I sleep all morning I'll end up sleeping at 1am at least and in two days I'll have to wake up at 6am, not worth the trouble of fixing my sleeping schedule every single weekend xD
Sleep tight ^-^ Sweet dreams!

I'm up weekdays at 7 AM and will aloow myself to sleep in until about 8 or 9 AM on weekends and Holidays. Much beyond that and my back begins to bother me, so I just get up when I begin to feel uncomfotable.
