Is it just cause I had some weird food beforehand, couldn't sleep, or what?

I see ghosts, or at least I think I do. It's usually related to that sort of thing.

I'm fourteen, so I don't think I'd take drugs any time soon. [not saying that I ever would.]
I get about 5-7 hours of sleep a day, is that normal?

My mom says I shouldn't see things like that, though.
My family, including me, is Christian. She says the only spirits I should see are my guardian angels.

Well I'm pretty sure I'm not getting enough sleep, as sometimes I only get 3 hours of sleep, haha. Staying up this late makes me too frightened to go to bed, and afterwards I start seeing things. I will try and ask if I could go see a doctor later, though.

It could be related to a sleep disorder. You may be having an unclear transition between sleep and awake states and you are having dream like hallucinations when you seem to be fully awake.
You may want to see a doctor about this.

You may be hallucinating because of lack of sleep, if so make sure to get your rest your brain like short circuits when you don't sleep. It's called sleep deprivation, that's part of the reason people on crack talk to themselves.
You could have something more serious though many mental health problems can cause auditory and visual disturbances like severe depression or anxiety, also schizophrenia. Talk to a doctor but don't be too worried.

Hallucinations are somewhat multifactorial. Have you had them for awhile? Do you regularly go long periods of time without sleeping? Have you ever had a head injury/been diagnosed with brain issues? Do you take any medications? Do you use illicit drugs? Now, assuming that you sleep well, arent using drugs, taking medications or have a history of head injuries nor organic brain issues, I'd say see the doctor. Hearing things that arent there is one thing, seeing them is altogether different.

It's most probably hallucinations.. But it's normal if you hadn't sleep for awhile. I hear things too sometimes, like my aunt calling me. But it's just hallucinations. Maybe cuz you're afraid of that something/someone? If it goes on too long, i suggest you see a doctor or a specialist. Take care.

I see things too, like you do.
What you have to realize is...these are not hullucinations. These are real.
They are spirits, essence of the dead. When you are asleep or when you close your eyes, they are watching you.
So just remember whenever you turn off your lights, and close your eyes, there might be 2 or 3 of them at a given time, watching you as you sleep.
So whenever you get the feeling that something is watching you, that's because it is.

it may be a psychosis, and its important to know that it may be temporary. are you exceedingly religious? scrupulosity can actually become so intense that a temporary psychosis will develop.
please talk to a mental health professional about this. and i have to disagree with your mother, you shouldnt be seeing any guardian angels either.obsessing on the spirit realm can cause an unhealthy mental state.
take care sweetie, and please get some help.
