volitare said something like that i think. christians - do you think this statement is true?...... and dont just tell me he does exist because i'm asking IF he did not exist?

If impossibly there was existence without God, and Man was pretty much the same psychological being, I think Man would invent one or more. Even with God existing Man invents them.

God is only One and is high in the heavens. Despite his strength and blessings people have invented many gods. And some like christians our type of God and others says our God is different. If some believe in One God without apprehendible shape and without partners to help him he is right any name of God may be.

If really there is no God then instead of making the one as Voltaire said, they will devise themselves to be god. As men are very difficult to accept the leaders, how they will accept someone god.

I think that is correct. Society needs a moral authority.

I don't think that disproves that God exists. It does tend to show that we're not good without God.

Throughout the history of 'thinking' man, that has always been the case and is the same today.
FYI, no gods actually exist save for in the imagination of the dwellers in fantasy-land, so there is no 'IF'
