Native American tourism really needs to seek promotional assistance from their local state tourism office. To some degree, tribal efforts in promoting their historic places of interest are admirable--but could use a big PR agency boost.
Customarily, most Native American tribes don't embrace such large scale media promotion, quite likely out of tradition.
Find Native American historical places of interest---and show these people the respect and gratitude for showing and sharing their culture with you. Surely, monetary donations are appreciated as well.

1. Increase knowledge of smaller destinations
2. Increase quality of service. I once had a waiter in a lodge bring me tea without sugar as i hadn't asked me to!
3. Grade all hotels, lodge,etc and none under 2 stars should function
4. Bust the poor country myth.
5. Advertise with beautiful and breathtaking photos. Sometimes some photos have litter which repel viewers
6. Be creative at expos make models, etc.
7. Decrease travel costs
8. Increase luxury in government buses and have government planned tours

1) promote medical tourism or rural tourism rather then Pilgrim tourism cause people want to enjoy in their vacation and not visit temples..........
2) develop more good resorts..
3) promote and develop spiritual tourism (by building mediation centres, spas, Ora cleansing centres etc)
4) preserve wild life and promote wild life safari's etc...
5) make people aware and teach them to respect the foreign tourist and not to tease them or hares them
6) Brand India
7) Value your own heritage and culture first then the rest of the world will....

2. upgrade the infrastructure
3. the indian people are very flashy. this can be hard for western tourists
4. make more advertising
5. reduce the extreme poverty (this is a culture chock for many tourists)
6. india is not a free society. in bars and clubs woman and men have to celebrate seperate, for example.
