its kind of hard not to be offended by this, since my husband just recently (along with the rest of 3rd Brigade) came home from Iraq... soldiers dying isnt a funny topic, at all. One of our closest friends was hit with an IED and lost his leg...hes only 23...he now has to live the rest of his life disabled...and was discharged from his job BECAUSE as an infantryman, you have to be damn near perfect in every physical way...a few others that i knew personnaly lost their lives...so next time you wanna make a joke, think about how you would feel if that was your signifcant other, or family member, or best friend...what if it was one of your children? its not so funny now, is it?

Because we are winning. We have killed or detained more of the enemy, hence fewer of the enemy able to fight and cause damage. We have been winning and now have the support of the good Iraqi people again. But the libs don't want us to win, because when we win, it means our military is doing something good. How can we be doing something good when the libs say we are "broken". When we win it proves them wrong, and libs would rather we lose than admit they are wrong.

It is because those brave men and women are doing their jobs to the best of their ability. The are slowly winning the fight against the enemy.
By the way I also agree with Geoff the second line in your question is demeaning to the military. I would edit your question and take that line out.

Or what we are doing over there is finally working. People complain when the troops are killed and now they are questioning why more are not dying. Will some people ever be happy?

Not us, that's for sure.
The US Military is losing less lives for the time being.
One has to wonder how many private contractors are dying.
They get paid about 7 times more so I guess their bodies are 7 times more valuable.
