Its easy to dismiss there being a Creator, but the universe dose not come across as random chance either.
One of the problem with Science, Religion and Atheism is they have all become opinionated and set in their own ways. Now I'm not sugesting that everyone is doing this but, it is what i see.
There is a hell of a lot in this universe science and religion dose not understand.
So why on earth do we deside that our minds are made up on this topic, regardles of the that fact we do not know enough to say one thing or the other?
Shouldnt we just keep an "open mind", and remember that what we do know?

Well just some thoughts anyway.

"There is a hell of a lot in this universe science and religion dose not understand."

true enough. science is a method for incrementally increasing our understanding. religion (revealed religion at least) is apparently without method, other than making stuff up and asserting (without bothering to really look at the universe) that the answer is now known, which prevents any real understanding.

well that is my opinion. can you suggest why i may be mistaken?

No - I believe quite the opposite. I believe the evidence of Evolution, was planted so to speak by the great deceiver himself in an effort to trick us poor humans in to the belief that God does not exist.

Even Charles Darwin a devout Christian had problems with his own observations but the scientist in him made him report what he saw. He was torn by the possible ramifications of what he believed his observations meant.

Let us all remember that Evolution is an unproven theory. It is not cold hard scientific fact. Those that believe it is are really just practicing a religion of their own just like those that believed in the coming ice age in the 1970's and follow the hype of Global warming today. If we are to follow science the way that it should be followed the proof should be independently verified by another unbiased team. Science is about facts not speculation, and unfortunately today speculation can get you a Nobel Prize.

Understanding the science releases us of a need for a supernatural explanation. I prefer to say I just don't know (and don't care a whole lot about it), so I remain a firm agnostic on the subject. But I don't need to believe in a supernatural creator for all the things that are explained by science (or will be soon enough with more research).

Yes, of course scientists don't have an open mind and science is not about discovery or furthering our understanding of the world, no no, it's all about disproving religion. It's a plot and all scientists are given the agenda when taking introductory biology or introduction to physical anthropology in university. The previous statement is the verbalization of the eye roll I made when I read your question.

Yes, it has been considered (and accepted by many on here, apparently). It does not satisfy me in any way shape or form to randomly attribute a Creator of some sort to the things that are as yet unknown. Evolution is amazing and incredible, nothing is added to it by saying goddidit.

I agree with you. Why should we have such closed minds? If we lived in a different time, would people here be preaching that the earth was flat or the earth was the center of the universe? Common belief supported by the church decreed that it was at one time in history. People who think they have all of the final answers scare me.

It's called "Theistic Evolution" and it combines all of the unanswerable questions of religion with all the unanswerable questions of science, making it twice as ridiculous as either could possibly be on their own.

When there are things I don't know, or science does not know, I do not try find a way to promote a certain answer or solution.

Because there is no scientific evidence for it.

It's fine to believe, but leave it outside the lab door.

very well could be, however a perfect creator would never need blood to wash sins.
