I think he makes sense, but he is sometimes very "wordy."

At times, he does seem confusing.
For example, in one letter, he says that the law is not important and in another, he says that it is.
But this is one situation that CAN be easily explained. The clue is: to whom is he writing?
There were some Christians who adopted a pagan doctrine that the flesh does not matter, only the spirit. Consequently, the engaged in immoral practices, like having sexual contact with one of their father's wives (not their mother; polygamy was a normal part of life then). Even if the father had died and she was a widow, this was prohibited. So Paul pointed out that the law must be upheld.
On the other hand, there were some who believed that keeping the law guaranteed them salvation. That was so far form the truth that Paul had to point out it was not so.
That was easy. There are other writings of Paul that are (almost) impossible to harmonize.

Paul had one of the greatest educations of his time, he studied under Gamaliel in the temple in Jerusalem, was the son of a Pharisee and was the rising light in Pharisaic Judaism at the time.
His brilliant intellect and powers of reason laid out the Theology of NT christianity and his writings inspired by the Holy Spirit. You must first drink the sincere milk of the word, and then by leading of the Spirit and maturity God will teach you, Then you will be able to digest the meat of the word. (This is an idea of Pauls) Thoroughly logical.
He is one of the pillars and towers of christian thought, along with St Augustin, Justin Martyr, St Patrick, Luther, Calvin, Wellesley and Magee.

I took a class about Paul and his life... spent a whole semester studying what he wrote. It's not always easy to swallow what he's saying, but I think he makes sense.

Not unless God makes no sense, since God inspired Paul's writings.

No to me he is the most clear apostle.
If you trust in faith alone to get in to heaven then he will make PERFECT sense.
If you believe in works of the law(10 COMMANDMENT)AND FAITH IN CHRIST) then he will be very confusing.
Repent OF THE DEAD WORKS OF THE LAW(the 10 COMMANDMENTS) AND BELIEVE THE GOOD NEWS OF CHRIST(HE'S THE SAVIOR, NOT YOU AND YOUR WORKS)
and be saved.
For by faith alone we are justified-paul

Since Jesus Christ is the one who convicted him, I see no problem with him or his writings.
