of course, the earth goes through hot and cold cycles.
We shall now be able to, once again, farm Greenland like the Vikings did in the 11th and 12th centuries.

The global warming is caused by:
1.Overpopulation of the planet - people are too destructive with all their cars, asphalt, trash, getting rid of nature, etc. Think, only 400 years ago all the American continent was a wonderful wild land with flowing rivers and lush meadows where wild horses played running around.... and now: it's all concrete freeways, megapolices, roaring airplanes, trucks... Animals can't cross freeways, they are locked up in small pockets of land, that cause them to die out slowly. People, just think about it.
2. The Sun has entered it's heating cycle. If you only download the Google space map and look at stars and planets around us or just open Wikipedia and read astronomy, you realize how fragile we are as species and how weird that we can survive and live only at a range between 15 to 120 F degrees. That how many planets around us don't have these opportunities for life. Earth is really a miracle. I'm surprised it's been so stable for all these billions and billions of years. It's amazing.
Also a question to you all: Was Ice Age caused by humans too??
The Earth has it's own cycles of cooling down and heating up in correlation with other factors. And one day the Earth will die, well, not die but enter another stage, but humans won't survive to see it... But this will be in billions of years. By that time, actually , we will be dead anyway from all the nuclear wars. Nuclear war - this is the REAL threat to life. I'd worry more about that than the global warming.
Also, another thought, if the global warming is here why there were absolutely no hurracanes in the gulf this year? They predicted something as strong as Katrina or even more devastating. But hey, where is it?

Its funny, i read something that like 1,000-2,000 people die a year due to heat. And the warmer it gets then the more people that die due to heat will increase.
But what ive also read is that more people die due to cold weather like 25,000-35,000 people a year, and that although global warming might cause a few hundred more people a year to die due to heat, about 10,000 - 15,000 lives will be saved annually due to global warming.
So, i do believe in global warming ,but i also feel like its not as extreme as many have made it out to be and the dangers have been exagerated extremely. Do i believe something should be done? Yes of course i do. Do i believe that in 15 years from now that the ozone layer will be gone, and the temperature will rise about 15 degrees? No, i think its more like 30 years or so and that the dangers have been highly exagerated.
But thats just my opinion so it does not make me right... nor does it make me wrong either.

I don't have to "believe" in it like you have to "believe" in a God or something. I "know" it's a fact because I see the effects happening now that scientists from around the world explained would happen years back when most folks laughed at them. they aren't laughing anymore. Of course there will always be a few who like Alfred E Newman will say, "Global Warming? What me worry?"
But there are too many real scientists all over the planet who have examined the situaiton carefully over the years ansd they may differ by a few degrees on ceratin effects and the timing but they all agree it is happening.
So keep your head in the sand if you wish. Just don't get in the way of those of us who want to fix this problem.
Meanwhile our oceans are warmer.
Our oceans are rising (very little by most people's standards, but the consequences are enormous.)
The average temperatures are rising.
Storms are becoming more frequent and stronger.
Periods of drought AND rain are lasting longer.
It's not happening all at once - and it's easy to ignore because the changes are happening at a rate you get used to.

yes, of course...why would it be a scam? what do they want us to do buy airconditioners? on the other hand people have evolved to realized that our atmosphere is an enclosed system and that the emissions we give off don't just float off into space, they linger in the air...have you ever seen a freeway? have you ever been next to a car exaust? those who would refuse global warming are victories for oil industries and various smokestack companies who would be less profitable with emissions regulations...and THAT is why the Kyoto is a bad deal for america...the government is altering playing down the dangers...but then again they're carying out chemtrail operations...spraying huge amounts of aluminum based aerosol in the atmosphere with commercial airliners so that solar radiation is deflected because our ozone layer is weakening because of the same emmissions they're telling us aren't harmfull.

Its a poor choice of words but.. With the years and centuries that have gone by where people have moved their clocks forwards and backwards to keep up with the time of day. This is their poor lame excuse to get you to believe something big and bad is happening , so they can charge you for more money and bleed you dry. The earth could never be destroyed by mankind ever. This is considered the little wobble in the shape of this planet that makes it every so often deter from its regular course through the vast space making it closer to the sun and deeper into the night. In short- they forgot to tell you to turn your calendars ahead one month

Yes, and it has a lot to do with our growing population arround the world! Ice is water and humans are 70%water!
Ice melting cause human race is growing, we humans are the biggest consumer of water.
All we can do is conserve our natural resources until the day that we have the technology to cultivate mars to be habitable by humans.

not really sure. if it's true, i don't think anything big will happen for a while. i guess it would be good to prevent it though. i think that there are just so many people in the world causing it to happen that there is no way to stop it. because not everyone in the world is going to agree on doing things to prevent it. a lot of people don't care about it. so if it's true, we are screwed.

pretty darn real. that's why we have bigger storms and where i live we are out of water. Atlanta only has enough water to last four months. worst drought i have ever seen. it rained for six hours last night and when i went out this morning at 6:30am it looked as though it had never rained.
