"Without love your daily life has no meaning"

In this torn desert world there is no love because pleasure and desire play the greatest roles, yet without love your daily life has no meaning. And you cannot have love if there is no beauty. Beauty is not something you see—not a beautiful tree, a beautiful picture, a beautiful building, or a beautiful woman. There is beauty only when your heart and mind know what love is. Without love and that sense of beauty there is no virtue, and you know very well that, do what you will, improve society, feed the poor, you will only be creating more mischief, for without love there is only ugliness and poverty in your heart and mind. But when there is love and beauty, whatever you do is right, whatever you do is in order. If you know how to love, then you can do what you like because it will solve all other problems.

the article in wikipedia really breaks the topic down really well if you re interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love
it will be slighty more informative than my annecdotal answer. well, love is a second hand emotion. thats one way to answer it. also its a good thing thats better than pink lemonade. have you ever seen any vaudville comedy acts? theres a really good one called 'cagney and lacey'; love is better than that. love is a battlefield. Its something that the world needs now; a little more of it will make things right and get you somewhere. If you ever get stuck, locked out of your car in the winter cause the locking mechanism is frozen inside well love will open that for you if you just give a little bit more than what your askin' for. Someone told me that love either stinks or stings, sometimes...yeah. im not sure which. love is something that hurts. but dont let that scare you away from it. its something that a person ought to get into making....not just havin' meaningless sex. love is something that does to you exactly what tectonic sliding plates do; it shakes you all up.

OK.. there is no one set definition for love but there are feelings that you feel within yourself that are indescribable and its a certain tingling in your gut and ur heart when ur around That person. You will know when you cant stop thinking about that person, when anything reminds you of that person, when you get :"butterflies" in ur tummy when you see that person. Also when your friends ask you to go somewhere but you would rather chill with that person. When you change all plans for that person. I could go on and on.. so if you r feeling any of these symptoms and u r smiling while reading this.. u got the "love bug" my dear.. :) go with your gut.. Its a wonderful feeling....

Sri Ramakrishna said that in love there are 3 types:

In first type, one will expect something from others and will not himself gives or sacrifices.

In second type, one will expect something and in turn give something.

In third type, the lover dosent expect and want anything, he only gives everything and wants only that the loved one be happy. And thus sacrifices himself happily...

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Love is NOT an emotion...It is a decision of the will, it is something you decide in your heart that you will love someone. emotions come and go but love, true love is unconditional.

love is an unexpressible feeling...u know sometimes u feel
the need of someone who is always with u caring
consoling...u feel like u want that person to be with u for ur whole life time. unless u feel that the person is somewhere around u..we cant understand that.

I believe that there is not a true definition. However there is and old saying:
"You know it when you in it".

It is a feeling, like:
"Tears are the words, that the heart just can't say"

Just think about it.

What kind of question is that?! Since the creation, man has been attempting to answer that question, and hasn't had a lot of success with it since then.
