A hand stamp would be a good idea. Don't forget that the tenders need to keep track of which drinks they prepare for your guests (because you WILL get the bill...sadly). So I might suggest a hand stamp (although putting on the inner forearm is a better idea....hand-washing and all that). We had this at my husband's last Christmas party (one bar was serving 5 different parties....each group had their own stamp).

I think the card would be cool. Like a VIP thing. I'd flash that thing like i was a NYPD detective investigating the quality of the rum and coke. But thats cuz i'm funny like that.
I would suggest asking the people who are running the bar how they normally handle this kind of situation. Perhaps they have pre-printed cards so you dont have to worry about it.
But the first chick is right, they have buisness cards paper you can get at Wal-mart or Office Max. you go into Microsoft Word, put in the template number located on the packaging.. and you can print out your own buisness cards in just a couple of minutes. My mother uses these for her small business. she also uses them as price tags.

You could use a roll of tickets (single width raffle tickets $5 bucks at Wal Mart) then the bar will know exactly how many drinks to charge you for. If there are different prices they can track prices on the back of the tickets. You could appoint someone to make sure that everyone has 'enough' tickets.
Or, you could get the wristands like they use, well everywhere! Good Luck & Congrats

A rubber stamp and an ink pad.. you can easily go out and get something that may be appealing in nature to the wedding or just go to the stationary store and pick up a stamp that says PAID IN FULL.. You can either stamp the people attending your wedding or stamp it on the invitations.. Make sure the bar understands the exact procedures of the free drinks, otherwise they may just give themselves and others a little toast and clip your bill. or just go to a toy store and pick up a lot of 25cent plastic rings all bearing the same style and color. pass them out as tokens of their attendance, with free drinks upon showing the bar. Then again you can just give the bar the list of names in your party and can just check off how many drinks each one of them have as they go to get them. Will give you an insight as who is there for getting drunk LOL ... Can I come?

instead you can make small cards that you give to each of your guests like the small business card written on it something that shows thats they use it for the bar or a very nice idea you can give each of your guests a flower and they can present it at the bar and this flower is not used in any of you arrangements at the wedding so that they dont use the flower thing more than once

Where are you getting married. I am shocked that they would set something up like that and make you figure out how to handle it.
If you must do this and not your caterer or the hall I would do the card. Just print a bunch of business sized cards. To add a touch to it, print the guests name on them also and have them laminated. You can make them cute enough for them to keep as an additional favor. Just be prepared with plenty of back up generic copies for those that lose theirs somewhere along the night.

Inform the bar that anybody holding a stamped card with your names (you and your future husband) on it, gets free drinks. To save money limit the number of drinks they can get for free.

Can't your caterer set up a small bar inside the room? Surely this is their problem to figure out, and not yours. You have more important things to worry about.

The card is a good idea.
Go to kinkos, they can kick them out for you in a matter of minutes. How many do you need?
