Actually I've been really trying to search this out in my own life! Crazay. Anyhoo, I am defiinitely finding that its so hard to love somebody else when you don't love yourself. I remember watching the end of this Rupaul show in middle school with one of my friends (random I know) and Rupaul says, "Honey if you don't love yourself how the HELL are you gonna love somebody else!?" So it kinda stuck and became a joke we'd say to eachother so I thought I'd say it to you... though you won't get the full effect of a crazy middle schooler who doesn't even understand it saying it you. OK back to the question. I find its really hard to see good things in people and enjoy their company if you don't really love things about yourself and enjoy your own company. Because its like your so busy critiquing yourself that you have no time to just chill out and enjoy their company. THEN sometimes you can start critiquing them and then it just turns miserable. I'm finding the more I love and become comfortable with myself the more I can focus on best qualities of a person, and even more, the greatness of a moment, instead of just critiquing it. All that to say, yes, loving yourself is one of the best things in life because it leaves more room to fully love and truely appreciate someone and even other things in life.

Yup! I agree with you and the saying, "Learn to love yourself before loving others. You have to feel confident, positive, and be a happy person in general. If you have insecurities and you have too emotional problems, you're gonna have problems in the relationship. You will most likely have a lot of mood swings and blame your partner or whoever it is you meat along the way. Therefore, you must learn to love yourself before you can actually love others! =)

True! If you do not know and love yourself, than how can you possibly know that someone is compatible with you? You become what that person wants you to be-then you learn that's not what you want and it ends in regrets and resentments.

I believe you can still love someone, they just won't see it.Even though you love someone you can't make anyone happy unless you can make yourself happy

If you can't give 100% to yourself, you're not going to want to give 100% to anyone else.
