I forget to mention that, not part of the air force more into commercial aviation. Like a test pilot or stuff. Like the pilots which frst fly the 787-8 when it comes out. I am sure they are very well educated where did they go?

If you want to be a test pilot, don't go to Embry Riddle. Either join the service, or get an engineering degree from a college that doesn't have the stigma ERAU has. You'll need to complete test pilot school after gaining some quality flight experience.

The requirements for the civilian test pilot program are
Pilots: a minimum of 750 hr of pilot-in-command time and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent military academy) in math, science or engineering

I would expect most enrolled have a lot more than 750 hrs. Completing these would also give you the possibility of applying for an astronaught position down the road as well.

For being a test pilot, USN or USAF in Annapolis and Colorado Springs are your best bet. For just standard civilian flight training with no commitments (other than tuition), ERAU is a well known name, but get to know the school. I looked at ERAU myself for its engineering program, but decided against it, preferring Florida Tech and Daniel Webster College in NH for a few reasons, notably the fact that the colleges actually showed interest in me outside admissions. It's not really the school that is going to get you, but the contacts that you make while there. In conclusion, Embry is the "big name" in civilian Aviation, as well as some military aviation, but if you are not a good fit for the campus, it'll do you no good.

Also, do remember that it's going to take years for you to climb up to being in a passenger airliner, never mind as a test pilot. You'll most likely end up as a CFI to start and work your way into an airline.

Try Purdue. Had a bunch of astronauts and the last year 95 percent of graduates had a job in the airlines right at graduation.

U.S. AIR FORCE, OR U.S. NAVY ARE THE BEST IN AVIATION. YOU GET A PLACE TO LIVE, FOOD, AND PAID WHILE YOU LEARN. HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT?
