Sleep. There's nothing worse than trying to perform if you're all hopped up on adrenaline or tired out! wait until the morning then do the ole consumation! you'll do a lot better once you're rested and it'll set you up for a great second day of married life!

I've been through two weddings, and I SWEAR to you, both times I collapsed in absolute exhaustion at the end of the day!
Sleep is the absolute best thing to do on the wedding night. There is no rule that says the marriage must be consummated THAT day...the next morning would be just fine.

That is between you and your spouse talk about it first so you both have an idea what to expect. It will be your speical night and take the time to enjoy eachother rome was not built in a day and niether is a consummation on your wedding night.

With an ID as "expert c", do you really need to an answer to that question? 99.99% of Indians officially initiate their sexual lives from the night of their marriage. So, you don't need to be any different. Just do what your forefathers did. But do it sweetly, patiently and with lots of love and romanticism. Don't rush through it or treat it as something of a ritual that has to be done on wedding night. That's all.

I had a bit too much to drink, then came back to the hotel and fell asleep with my husband, and I thought it was great. We saved the sex till the next day when we were well rested.

Dont rush...! Take some rest, enjoy each other's company. Plan things up. There's a lot of time to do it. You'll be together for life.
Some sez, its a blessing if you preserved the sanctity of your marriage vows for at least one week.
