This is not a dream about making babies, it's about making yourself, or making some part of your life. At 16 the most important work in your life is developing your adult self out of a child, a kind of birth over which you have some control. On the most grandiose level this is about fears for your own development. Some dream theories say that dreams work off emotions that aren't expressed when awake, so this could be just an expression of normal anxiety. Other theories say that every dream has one or more messages, so this could be a warning that your fears of birth/development are counterproductive; out of fear you try to avoid the pain or short-circuit the process, but it's happening anyway. The birth could be something more mundane than overall development--it could be a new relationship, new project, new goal in life, etc. I think the general invitation is to look at where fear could be holding you back, in major and minor ways, and how you could deal with that fear.
Whatever the specific concern(s), this hardly sounds random.

More details about your dream may be helpful.
From what I can tell, your dream may be trying to help you come to terms with your fear of being pregnant and the fear of child birth. This seems to be the most likely meaning and reason for your dream.
But pregnancies in dreams can also symbolize the formation of new ideas and potentials that have not yet begun to be expressed. Since you were upset and crying in this dream the new ideas may be somewhat scary to you.

I am by no means a professional interpreter...BUT, I have been told I have some pretty decent insight...I don't know anything about your life, so if I'm way off...sorry. LOL
But, if I had a dream like this...and I have had similar dreams...usually a dream like this for me signifies that I am very upset over something that I cannot control (that could be where the pregnancy comes into your dream).

Ive been told many times that if your dream involves a baby, then that means that someone you know is close to death. I don't belive this but then again ive never had a dream about a baby.

except for the adopting thing, but it was freaky.
I believe i had it because i was thinking about it that day, and we had a whole discussion on being pregnant, and i always go over the day in my head, [it helps me fall asleep] i must have stopped on that... idk.
