Wow, someone who finally wants to thank their parents on here! lol Good for you! Ask yourself what they would buy for themselves if they had that money. Perhaps it would be that gift basket or perhaps a night on the town - depending upon where you are but tickets for a concert or show - perhaps a night in a fancy hotel, a special champagne or wine, or perhaps a basket with a bit of fruit and envelopes with tickets for several of these things so that they could open the envelopes over the course of several days and get a surprize each day.

Think about who they are and what they enjoy. Let that be your guide. Would they enjoy a gift certificate to a special restaurant or a night in a nice hotel or something for the house? You know them better than any of us. A gift basket is a nice idea but make sure it will be meaningful to them. I recently sent my best friend some flowers and he was thrilled that I remembered his favorite flower which is an unusual one. You may want to check out www.proflowers.com. They are very good and have some nice arrangements and gift baskets. Reasonably priced and prompt service.
