I'm in the exact same place. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have a disorder, per say, but you might have some kind of mental block. God knows I constantly wondered why I f****d up all the time. It was like I couldn't stop it.
I suggest you see a therapist. You might not get a "diagnosis," but they will be able to help you get through the mental block thing.

Why did you get bad grades? Did you try to get good grades and couldnt? or Did you just slack off or not pay attention? You mentioned without studying, you passed your tests but what about homework? and being in class?
I personally believe that having good grades and a high IQ are not directly related. Not completely unrelated but to a level its not. Getting good grades really isn't that hard if you think about it. 1. You have to be in class. 2. Pay attention 3. Do your homework. Now do well on those 3 and i bet even if you don't pass your tests you will still pass the grade by just doing the 3 things i have mentioned. I believe that a person with higher IQ is the type that gets stuff very fast and is very versatile in different situations.

Actually, try to find out your credit score. Now add it to the others and divide by 3. This will give you your SWR (Social Worth Rating). If this number is less than 300 you will probably not amount to anything short of a manual laborer. I find it funny that every time a kid doesn't do well in school that the choir starts blaming "ADD" or some other disorder.

Some people just don't do fantastically well in school, regardless of how smart they are. A high score on an IQ test is no indication of how well one will do in school/on tests/in life.
If anything, it could be indicative of ADD or ADHD.
Also, there are so many IQ tests, and each scores in a different way. IQ tests are extremely deceiving.

That is a typical symptom of ADD or ADHD. They usually have high IQ's and are gifted however can't keep on target due to lack of interest or boredom. Might or might not be, but that usually goes hand in hand.

That's typical of Asperger's Syndrome and other autism spectrum disorder.
People with ADD/ADHD usually can't concentrate long enough to earn scores like yours on IQ tests.

I agree with Beach diva. although I would also say that you should seek out whatever help you can get, and don't let this be an excuse for you, but rather a challenge that you can overcome.
