That Christianity is wrong? Who's to say it's right? People should believe what they want to believe instead of attempting to change others' beliefs. Stop "Witnessing" and people will like you more. Because you don't push your religion on them. Who else can comprehend what i'm saying?

I'm a Christian but I really try hard not to "Bible Bash" anyone but you know what, as a Christian, I'm commanded by Jesus to go & be a witness to the world. Also, as a true Christian, I love people & hate to think that if they don't turn to Jesus, then they're going to be condemned for all eternity. I know you probably don't believe that but we do. But my favourite Bible verse is found in 1 Peter 3:15 which says "But in your heart set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to those who ask you for the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness & respect." Respect for other people is the key. I believe I have to earn the right to speak into people's lives before I can start hitting them with the word of God. But on the other hand, the gospel message is offensive to some. Not much I can do about that....sorry. I have to obey my boss....Jesus. Bless ya

I can comprehend what you are trying to say. But I don't push my beliefs on others, but I do tell them of God if the opportunity is right. And by that I mean, if they are willing to listen, or if they ask a question such as this one. I don't attempt to try and change some ones opinion, but when they ask a question such as this one, then I give my opinion. And sometimes when they ask a question, but they don't like the answer, because it is answered the way that we believe, then they say we are trying to push our religion on them If some one doesn't want an answer, then why ask the question. And just for the record, if people don't like me, it does not matter. I am not trying to win a popularity contest. I can still like people, even if they don't like me.

I don't believe that Christianity is "all wrong", only that a great number of Christians are "all wet". (the baptism pun was not intended, but I think it cute as an afterthought)

I think that fundamentalism is quite wrong. Even Jesus said so. Bible-only Christians forget the 300 - 400 years between the time the Apostles died until the Bible was compiled. They say that the Bible is the only authentic source for God's word, but the Bible didn't exist until about 400 AD. Did the Christians prior to that have it all wrong?

In any case, to impose a religion on others is quite wrong.

No, I don't think about that. I'm not one to say what is right or wrong but in the case of Christianity, I believe it is Jesus that says so you should probably take that one up with Him...He will surely answer. I never push my beliefs on anyone because there was a time it was done to me and it completely turned me off to religion, not to God, just religion.

Most Christians don't push the gospel on you....I was an agnostic for the first 37 years of my life and I was not pushed by one Christian...I wish to goodness I had been...I would not have wasted all that time being an idiot. It is possible that your own guilt makes you feel like they are doing that. Sometimes,,just quoting a bible scripture makes a person say, you are pushing religion on them...it is a natural thing for a Christian to do...we do it to each other..it is not you but we live by scripture...

And just for the record,,,,if Christians bother you so much,,,why come to this forum at all? Why aren't you out sinning or something on a Friday night? Or in the science forum? Odd, don't you think,,,that you hang out here?

People are going to believe what they want to believe...

I, personally, think all religion is a waste of time.

But, I think its WRONG when people of certain religions tell other people that their beliefs [or non-beliefs] are wrong, and only they are right.

And I dont like when politicians use religion as an argument for not giving people rights

i completely agree with you on this!! i have many people in my life trying to force christianity on me and i'm like "ya know what? the more you push, the more i won't accept it..." i hate being preached to and having them say "i'm better than other religions" type of thing... it's just wrong and stupid..... religion should just be based on each person's beliefs and not the correctness or incorrectness of it...

but yeah i'm with you on this one a 100% lol.

Would you have told that to Christ Jesus when he came to your door? Or Paul? Or any of the other apostles?
Jesus wasn't out there to win a popularity contest, he was out there to tell people about God's kingdom. That's what we are out there doing too. John 15:20 says" . . . If they have persecuted me, they will persecute YOU also; if they have observed my word, they will observe YOURS also." So bring on the persecution, it just means that I'm doing something right. I won't enjoy it, but at least I have the knowledge that I am pleasing God, and that's all that matters.

Eveyone is entitled to their own beliefs but I will say that many facts of the Bible have come to pass and the places in the Bible can actually be visited. You say we shouldn't push our religion but who are you to push that Christianity is wrong?

The religion i practice actually has a sort of "don't preach, don't convert" tenet. We believe everyone should be free to choose their own path.
